Install VMware tools on kali Linux 2.0
Go to the VM click on Install VMware tools.
Now copy the tar file into the Desktop.
Right click on Desktop or wherever you have placed the tar file and click on open in terminal .
Now copy and paste the below command into your terminal.
root@seven:~/Desktop# tar -xvf VMwareTools-9.6.1-1378637.tar.gz
Change your directory to the extracted folder:
root@seven:~/Desktop# cd vmware-tools-distrib
Run the following command to install perl vmware-install.pl. .
root@seven:~/Desktop/vmware-tools-distrib# perl vmware-install.plx
Now just keep pressing enter whatever you are asked.
when you reach at the following point:
The path "" is not a valid path to the 4.0.0-kali1-amd64 kernel headers. Would you like to change it? [yes] no
write no and keep hitting enter until it starts installing.That's it.
